Evgeny Beleninov

was born October, 13th 1985 in Moscow. He was 8 years old when his mother gave him his first audio tape as a gift. The Beatles album “Rubber Soul” was to have a profound influence on his life. From the first listening, he knew he wanted to become a musician.

Even when the path revealed itself to be more arduous than he would have ever imagined, Evgeny persisted with determination. Thanks to Xenia Gitman, his professor, he began exploring the world of classical guitar and decided to make it his own.

From 2003 until 2004 Evgeny was a student at the Conservatory A. Schnittke in Moscow, and later, from 2005 at the Academy of Music „Hanns Eisler” in Berlin.

In 2012 he received his Master´s degree with honors in the class of Eugenia Kanthou. He also graduated with honors from the International Guitar Academy in 2010, where he had studied under Hubert Käppel.

Evgeny is an award winner of both the „Guitar Competition Nürtingen“ and the „International Guitar Festival Gevelsberg“ and was also awarded a scholarship by the „Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now“ foundation. He gives concerts in Germany and abroad regularly as a soloist as well as a member of various chamber music formations.

Evgeny Beleninov lives in Berlin. „Paris Buenos Aires“ is his first solo recording and an attempt to musically express a certain attitude towards life.

Man knows that his life is finite, a short trip into nothingness. That is why there is art. Art aspires to absolute perfection, something only vaguely perceptible. Such perfection is infinite. There is no arrival point in art.
